It's almost your typical Yondo build, except for a couple little tweaks compared to others.

Fast Hands - This is your first mulligan pick. Hondo with fast hands or, god forbid, double fast hands is a beast. He barely needs anything else.

Double-Dealing - This is a silver bullet for any Hondo match-up, where it really comes down to who has more money.

Anticipate - With the amount of money this deck generates this kind of removal has it's place here.I only got to play it once during the tournament but I would say it won me the game then destroying opponents' turn and giving me time to heal up. Wouldn't give it up.

As for the one-of Easy Pickings, I would easily swap one Overconfidence for a second one, but I currently only own one copy.

A short write-up of the match ups I faced:

Round 1: Kylo / Mother Talzin - LOSS (0:1)

Not much to say about this game. My opponent played very well and got double It Binds All Things, while my rolls were terrible (yes, it's possible even in this deck). Yoda did not roll a single special and Hondo with Cunning rolled triple blanks in one turn, double blanks and single disrupt the following round. He slowly, but consistently took me down.

Round 2: Poe / Hondo - WIN (1:1)

Probably my most difficult game of the day. He went for hondo and so did I, because his hondo got fast hands and I was scared of Cunning. WHen I finally killed his Hondo (and 2 second chances...) it came down to Yoda with Obi's Saber vs Poe with Verpine Sniper Rifle. Fortunately I was able to vandalize it, the got Lone Operative. Game went to time, but It's hard to do anything to Yoda who heals 3 and generates 3 shields per turn.

Round 3: Kylo / Mother Talzin - WIN (2:1)

Not much to say here. No It Binds All Things on his side, I was able to mitigate all his resources. He didn't play a single upgrade while I was building up.

Round 4: Jabba / Nute / Nightsister mill - WIN (3:1)

Similar as game in round 3. He didn't get a single Chance Cube and there's very little this deck can do without resources. Nute was pretty much irrelevant since Yoda generates crazy amount of money when you don't have to worry about shields.

Round 5: Sabine / Ezra - LOSS (3:2)

Double 3s on Sabine and +2 on X-8 Night Sniper turn one with natural roll. Similar, but a little less in round 2 - Yoda is dead. So there's that :) Later on his rolls were not so hot and Hondo almost took Sabine down. It really came down to if he could roll damage before I did mine, but then he rolled Ezra and got a resource. I needed to get a second special, but he rolled damage (3 on Sabine and +2 on Ezra) before that and I was out of mitigation. Close game, because he had no re-deploys to go to Ezra.

Round 6: Mirror match - WIN (4:2)

Double dealing helped get me a little ahead with resources. I didn't play a single damage dealing upgrade except for Cunning. My opponent went for yoda (I did too), While my hondo got Fast hands and Lone Operative. Slowly healing I took his Hondo down with his own lightbow via Cunning. Unfortunately for him both his Second chances got discarded from Force illusion - extremely unlucky.

I got to top cut being 7th after Swiss.

Top 8: Yoda / Zeb - 2:0 WIN

First round I was able to kill his Yoda quickly, before Zeb even got any upgrades. I was mitigating his resources and he conceded shortly after.

Second round was tough. Probably the best game of Destiny I ever played. Again I went for Yoda, but before I killed him Zeb became a beast. He killed my Yoda in no time and I had only Hondo left, but fortunately I had second chance on hand. Real game changer was when I got Lone operative. With double dealing I generated crazy money. When he had 3 upgrades I mitigated his 2 dice with entangle and then, after re-roll - Anticipate forced him to only resolve 1 damage and remove 2 other dice. With lone operative and cunning I healed about 15-18 damage and I also played 3 second chances with His battlefield (return it to top of the deck). In the final moment I rolled double specials on cunning and lone operative and he played his last card in hand - Easy Pickings to remove them. He felt safe because he had Ancient Lightsaber - but then I played Hyperspace Jump for the win.

Top 4: Mirror match - 2:0 WIN

This match was against Gdansk regionals winner. Both rounds were like chess. Again - Double-Dealing helped get me ahaed, while with Fast Hands (double in first, single in second round) I disrupted him as much as I could. I was luckily able to roll getting around Easy Pickings and was vigilant to never focus into double specials. I was also getting tired and sometimes forgot triggers and once I even didn't get resources at the beginning of the round, but he was very patient with me - big ups for that.

Final: Kylo / Mother Talzin - 2:0 WIN

In the final I played again against the opponent who beat me in 1st round of Swiss. This time however He only got 1 binds in the first round and I was able to mitigate his resources to a reasonable degree. Some of them he used to pay-off Hondo. First round was close, but I managed to take it.

Second round was similar to 3rd round of Swiss - no binds, control on my side. He conceeded shortly after Mother Talzin was killed.

I would say Kylo / Talzin is amazing deck, but Yoda Hondo seems to be a tough match up for it, because it needs a ton of resources to do his thing (Force rend, Rise again). Definately It Binds All Things helps with that And matches when it was on the table were much harder.

Overall the deck performed very well, even though I sometimes missed Double Dealing triggers - only put it in the day before. If I had to change anything it would be swapping one Force Throw for some damage dealer and one Overconfidence for second Easy Pickings.

Congrats on your win! Seems like your meta was totally different to mine! A lot of Kylo2 and Sabine etc. What in your deck if anything felt like it didnt hold its spot other than force throw?

Find that second easy pickings and your gold either way!

@stranglebat - Thanks. I'd say that every card had its place, I mostly played almost all of my cards, but that's due to rare discards for a re-roll. This deck is very consistent. Force throw is great too, but I feel like 2 of them is too much. I think some cards could work better in this deck, I will be testing - just beginning to play it.

If your meta switches to more 3 character lists i highly recommend force wave

Yup, not using it until now was a meta call. There were only 3 of them in my regional, if I'm not mistaken, out of total 34 that participated.
