Buffybot 323

This deck was designed to play against a new player who has just built his first deck, so I didn't want to use a tried-and-tested strong deck and threw this together from spare cards in my collection, with characters I haven't used before, and a lot of common cards.

The strategy is simple: K-2 batters the opponent into submission! I think he'd be good at that. I really want to see Mister Bones appear in this game at some point, to pair up with K-2, they could be a proper hero droid meleefest! Hopefully we'll be spared a battle droid version of Threepio.

Use Equip to shift a weapon (preferably after having been used) from Lobot over to K-2 to ready him again to swing for more. Once K-2 is weaponised, use Leadership on Lobot to ready K-2 for more action. Hit and Run and Guerrilla Warfare are there to make K-2's hits more reliable. Equip is a one-time deal, but Leadership could be used twice if you can keep both characters alive that long (a pretty big if). You could use Equip and Leadership in the same round, even the first round, for a triple-K-2 activation if you're lucky, but it may not be the optimum play.

There's plenty of healing and shield production, and a fair amount of removal potential, to try to keep them both alive long enough to see K-2 shine.

Hunting Rifle is probably not going to be terribly effective, but is there to trigger K-2's ability if Lobot is defeated and a weapon transfer is ruled out.

The droids are there for theme and fun! The Y-Wing is there because of my self-imposed house rule that every deck must have a cool ship. If the K-2 plan doesn't happen, it can inflict some decent damage to keep things moving along.

If anyone has a more serious, competitive deck with K-2, I'd love to see it, I don't see him pop up very often.

Getting K-2SO to work requires upgrades that are not weapons to be played on him. Then when you want to trigger him you overwrite one with a weapon and the cost doesn't hurt as much. Old Rey with all her action cheating seems to be the normal pairing. I think Lobot could be fun, you'll miss out on some of the good blue cards.

@Buffybot I love this idea. Do a search on here for K2SO and check out the pairing with Kanan. That one is getting some wins in the Meta. I'lI see if i can post a link to it. I was thinking of putting Hunting Rifle in my droid deck to get a low cost and more non red in there because of Kylo Ren - Tormented One I play casual and most of my cards are EAW and Legacies. Could you check out my Endangered Droid deck and let me know what you think? So far they've only lost a couple times at the shop, but again its casual. Thank you and even if you dont have time, I still love this set up!!!!

@buffybot the deck is called Special K's I couldn't find a way to link it. I was mistaken on the meta it just seems to do massive damage, but you could probably switch out some things and make it even more viable.

@delkman When looking at combos for K-2 my first thought was Ezra Bridger - Force-sensitive Thief, and my second thought was Kanan Jarrus - Rebel Jedi, although Anakin Skywalker - Conflicted Apprentice was also up there. The other option for red was Admiral Ackbar - Perceptive Tactician. Having Kanan opens up Bestow as well as all the good blue cards as @Ozmodon pointed out. Ultimately, I stuck with a unique red support character to enable Leadership as an extra readying option, which proved its worth today when K-2 with a Stun Baton demolished Kylo Ren - Tormented One in one round! (That was after K-2 rolling zero damage sides in his first three activations ... ) But with Kanan, K-2 could wield a Lightsaber, and you can't beat that for style.

@Buffybotsounds awesome! Update the card list when you can, I'd like to see what you end up going with!! I didnt even think of Anakin that could be a cool concept too.
