This deck is about leveraging Snoke - Supreme Leader's power action to get Kylo Ren - Tormented One upgraded as fast as possible.

Ideal draw would be:

Ideal round one would go like this:

  • Play Crossguard Lightsaber on Kylo to ping damage
  • Roll/reroll or one of Kylo's dice to
  • Snoke power action on , then use this to play a second weapon on Kylo
  • Deal damage!

On subsequent rounds you're set up, use Snoke's ability to amplify damage or gain to pay for Rise Again so you can stay alive, it's up to you.

Round by round summary:

Round 1: eDooku/eTalzin (win)

I waited to activate Kylo until after Dooku so his clash ability didn't blank my dice. I was able to get two weapons on Kylo in round 1, and keep Dooku's dice under control, but Talzin was making up for Dooku with her damage. Round 2 Snoke rolled into a 2 and this was able to produce enough damage to Kill Dooku. Talzin went down the next round.

Round 2: eCad Bane/eSnoke (win)

Cad rolled out strong and dealt serious damage. Cad had Kylo up to 11 damage, but couldn't quite close it on round 2. Cad was one resource short of getting lethal damage, so if he would have had Truce in his hand or an extra resource it would have gone his way. Snoke 2 was able to get lethal damage on Cad that round. Very close game!

Round 3: eRose/Jedha Partisan x2/Long Term Plan (win)

Kylo's Character dice were Entangled in round 1 so I was unable to get properly set up, but some fortuituous rolls allowed me to put some damage on Rose. Dex's Diner kept her alive until round 3 but then guys started dying off.

I was able to block long-term plan altered dice with Force Illusions for rounds 3 and 4, leading me to mill 10 cards. I was out of deck by the last round, and was able to roll enough damage to chew through the last partisan in round 5 before the vehicles could get rolling. This was very close as well, because I was out of deck and low on hand and he would have decked me to win if I couldn't kill the partisan. Luck had a lot to do with this as well because I hit with Kylo's ability each time, which is unlikely because this deck had an even balance between yellow, red, and grey cards.

Round 4: eAyala/eAshoka (win)

Mono blue was vulnerable to Kylo's special, which hit every time. Was able to get two lightsabers on Kylo in the first round. Ashoka died in round 2, Ayala died shorly afterwards.

I was 4-0 going into the top 4 cut. #4 Had to leave so I got a bye for the first round of top cut.

Round 6: ePhasma/eDJ (win)

I got force speed in my opening hand, so I was hoping to use it to activate Kylo and resolve dice before removal came. DJ controlled both of Kylo's dice and Force speed special on the first two rounds, so I was slow to get set up and was taking damage from control as well. On round 3 they had no resources and no 0 cost removal, so Snoke's 2 was able to focus Kylo dice into enough damage to kill DJ and get Phasma to 9 damage. Crossguard's auto damage killed Phasma the next round.

Great write up! Any thoughts on Dart Ritual over Rise Again?

@P11grim Rise again is definitely better here, because while Kylo is still alive Snoke can use his power action to guarantee you have the resources to get this off. I have frequently discarded a 3 cost lightsaber to reroll Kylo's dice with the intention of playing it for free on him with Rise Again. Dark Ritual is safer, but it's less likely you'll have the with only Snoke, and when Kylo comes back he comes back without sabers so he's not as strong as he was..
