YoDameron Trilogy - 1st place Dothan, AL 1.0

Played this beast of a deck in a 10 man trilogy tournament today. My record was 3-1.

Round 1 vs eDooku2/Talzin - Win https://www.twitch.tv/videos/316904356 My first match of the day was against one of our friend's kid. I was wanting to play this the most since I haven't played against Dooku/Talzin in general. I went after Dooku because he is the aggressor. He was able to kill Yoda first and the match was at a tipping point with Dooku injured badly. Poe didn't slow down though as he finished off Dooku and went after Talzin.

Round 2 vs Gungan Tribe - Loss I was able to secure a Force Wave turn 1, but my opponent vandalized it by turn 3. He was able to put out damage quickly with Boss Nass's ability and Gungan Catapult rolling the sweet spot of 6 indirect twice in a row. I wasn't able to draw any other upgrades and lost the match.

Round 3 vs eBoba/ePryce - Win I was interested to see how this character combination worked for my opponent. Unfortunately his dice rolls weren't cooperating throughout most of the match. I was able to mitigate most of the damage he did roll. Both of my characters were still alive by the time the match was over. He actually went 3-1 in the tournament as well so I'm glad it worked out for him in the end.

Round 4 vs eEzra/eObi-Wan - Win I was paired against the then only undefeated person in the tournament. I was also interested to see how Ezra and Obi Wan work together. His list was pretty solid and he was putting out shields like no one's business. Obi Wan's Lightsaber on Yoda was the best thing I could have as I was able to pummel Obi Wan through the shields with his own lightsaber. The match was clutch over all, with him playing a Do or Do Not on his Obi die to try and finish off Yoda. Unfortunately he didn't roll the damage and Yoda was able to finish him off.

Yoda died shortly after and it was Poe vs Ezra. We were both down to our last cards in hand. I was able to get enough damage through to Ezra with Yoda's Hut and Dex's Diner backing me up for the kill. I kept 3 cards in hand because I knew Ezra can roll discard to try and get the win. On the last round with time nearly out, I rolled 3 lethal damage sides with Poe and he didn't have an answer for all.

We decided to not play top cut as we were all tired and didn't want to play for another hour or so.

I made a few modifications to this list that DJStormtrooper ran in his tournament. I updated the list to include way of the force cards like Rex's Blaster Pistol and Dex's Diner. I found Beguile to be an auto-include and debated on playing Heightened Awareness over Defensive Stance but wasn't sure if they would be too expensive. I think I will keep the Defensive Stances in. The list he ran is well done and I had a blast playing it in the tournament.

I ran Comm Tower because I didn't have an Outer Rim Outpost - Nal Hutta on hand, so I chose the next best battlefield. I honestly thought it was better for the opponent to keep theirs anyway if they won the roll because getting 3 shields with Fortify helps. No opponent was going to choose mine if they didn't have a plot anyway so that was just more incentive to give me shields.
