This is the deck I used in my first big tournament, the Birmingham, AL regional event in January 2019.

The idea for this deck was to focus on making turns quick, and then attempting to use Hyperspace Jump or Retreat to get out of things early. These are cards I would mulligan out of my hand in order to get needed upgrades earlier on to start having heavier hitting turns.

My main focus turn one was typically to get a Scrap Heap out first turn and also try and get either Handheld L-S1 Cannon or Rex's Blaster Pistol out with the bonus resource for milling with Jyn’s ability and Jyn Erso's Blaster.

In regards to playing this mill or aggro, I view this more as a quick aggro then end the action phase before I can take a lot of damage, if possible. The milling aspect early on is to help mitigate my opponent’s stronger card options, while giving me more time to do damage and get the upgrades I need. Depending on how the game is playing, I may shift to focus more on mill instead.

Overall, I went 2-5 after starting off 2-0. I definitely needed more practice going into it, but for the most part I still think this is an extremely fun deck to play. May not be fully top tier, but I’ll look forward to the changes i can make with new sets as they release.

Awesome deck and awesome start.

What happened next was an “in the moment” slip-up that we all make. I see great things ahead for these two!

The deck is real fun to play! I think with another set release this deck could get some cards to take it over the top!

Except the next set removes many of the cards from rotation.

@Bigulf` agreed, that’s where my concern is right now, but we’ll see what is released with future sets
