Buffybot 323

Updated to be more resource efficient, less upgrade-dependent, and to bring in Fear and Dead Men which is awesome for Dooku.

Not the best of friends, these two, but I like to think they have put their differences aside to take out Darth Sidious, and anyone else who wants some.

This deck is mainly about creating and manipulating blanks to your advantage. About two-thirds of your cards turn your opponent's dice to blanks or use your own blanks to cause damage. Anger is like a free Reversal, and It Will All Be Mine can be lethal. Meanwhile, your own blanks can be used to deal damage with Dark Empowerment.

Hopefully you're turning enough of your opponent's dice to blanks to stay alive long enough to defeat them, and Force Illusion is very important. Starship Graveyard - Jakku is there to recycle it.

You aren't just relying on blanks. You also have Fear and Dead Men to use on Dooku's 1-cost 3-damage side, and No Mercy to strike a killing blow. Kylo Ren's Starfighter provides a nice supplemental damage option, especially against a monocolour deck, and rolling it out first provides a delay before activating your characters that can help to make full use of their abilities (more on that below).

All four character dice have a resource side, so you should be ok most of the time, but sometimes lack of resources will be a problem. The deck has 12 zero cost cards to address this, and a further 11 cards that only cost 1.

The main issue with using these two characters is that neither wants to activate first because of their abilities to turn your opponent's dice, so it ends up being like two Canadians holding the door open for each other: "After you." "No, after you." If your opponent doesn't have melee sides, you can of course safely roll out Dooku first. You'll want to use Talzin's ability on your opponent most of the time because you only have 13 cards that cost an odd number.

This is a budget deck. It contains only 1 legendary card, Kylo Ren's Starfighter, which is one of the cheaper legendaries at 4.50 CAD at the time of writing, and even that could easily be swapped out for Cornered Prey or Double Strike. Force Illusion is the most expensive card, at just under 10 CAD.

I recall seeing a deck on here that focused on blanks, but can't find it now to acknowledge it here. Please link to it in the comments if you recognise its influence in this deck. It was definitely before Across the Galaxy came out.
