This deck possesses a surprising amount of damage and tempo in a non-standard package for Han Solo. Leia Organa has some of the best, most consistent dice on the Hero side and Han Solo, well, he's Han Solo!

There are 10 upgrades that directly increase a character's ranged damage in this deck, and 17 Ambush cards (or cards that could be Ambush when combined with Infamous). There are some really fun tricks that this deck can do:

  • Play Holdout Blaster, then play Holdout Blaster on top of it, then activate a character for 2 and an activation at once.

  • I always like to have a DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol on Han, and then hold Second Chance in my hand, especially if my opponent is trying to focus Han. This allows me to swap the DL-44 for Second Chance when Han is about to die, giving him that second wind - and an extra if I have Infamous out already.

  • Activate Han on the first turn, wait for your opponent's activation, then Hit and Run, activating Leia, Shoot First, which helps control a Ranged deck, and then resolve whatever else you want as you still have one action left, and two more shields on Han.

  • The deck is fairly fast, so you can claim the battlefield often. To that end, Defensive Position wins games, getting rid of that killshot from your opponent - when I have a character closer to death, I always try to claim as much as I can.

The trick with this deck is getting your opponent to sink futile damage into Han who is the tank. To that end, Diplomatic Immunity is an essential early card to get Leia some consistent shielding. Upgrading Han with as many damage-dealing upgrades as you can helps make him an attractive target. Exploit the DH-17 Blaster Pistol to play the 3 upgrades for one round's worth of resources. Han also works so well with Play the Odds if you really need resources - but PtO slows down the tempo of the deck, so it's just a one-off.

I go back and forth between Elite Han or Elite Leia, and I honestly think I like Elite Leia more - Han can do a lot of damage on his own, and Leia can often roll one AND a face, helping augment your damage further (especially if you are holding All In - And with two Leia dice, you can always only remove ONE to use her ability and resist the temptation to mill yourself with rerolls that befalls decks with lots of sides.
