Ever since I saw Training and the lovely Rebel Commando spoiled, I had plans to build this deck. Red Hero got a nice boost in SoR, and with all the action-cheating filling the meta it seemed a shame that Red should be left out. And so we come to the essential lesson to be learned:

It's Always A Trap - Ackbar's Spec Ops division deck.

The game plan here is rather simple - mulligan into Wingman and/or Tactical Aptitude, use said cards until a single action activates all three characters. Profit.

No Plan Survives Contact With The Enemy

Okay, okay, there's a little more to it than that. This deck runs on timing, the rhythm of play. You will most often want to get dice on the table ASAP to enable Suppression and Rebel Assault, but often not immediately fire damage at your opponent. Hit and Run is one of your best friends here, whether you're using it to open the round hot and unleash hell or in response to an opponent's roll to get dice on the table and then fire removal. And then, of course, there's It's a Trap!...which I'll mention later.

The Finest Troops, When Led By Fish Officers

Rebel Commandos are really, really fun to play. Reliable damage, ridiculous health pool, that excellent removal special - do not be afraid to pay and use those babies, they let this deck shine - and a helpful Red discard side, enabling Ackbar's hatred of all things card-shaped and not in his hands (fins?).

So, About That Name...

All that leads us to a card made all the more terrifying by those Commandos - It's A Tarp (sic). Activating all your characters and firing off Trap on ranged, specials and discards (!) is highly effective and offers a ton of utility. Discard whole hands, remove dice and deal unblockable damage, or simply shoot people dead - whatever is needed at the time.

Smells Like Utility

C-3PO, All In, Block and Dodge are the swing slots, one-of each working better than expected due to Tactical Aptitude's ability to fish out cards. Really, this is a fun deck with a simple setup and interestingly tricky payoff - just how I like 'em.
