I really wanted to make Cad work again since the point adjustment on Phasma happened. In my pursuit to make it work like it used I found myself keep running into resource problems for Cad to resolve his dice. Sienna fit in nicely but then looking at the points and knowing that Thrawn had some good resource sides I tried him. Then I really leaned into the resource generation and I have had made a few different derivations of it. The key is to make Cad look like a tasty target by upgrading him as normal while you get chance cubes on Thrawn and build up your resources. Then you can Ace in the Hole Crime Lord or just plain pay for it. It is not uncommon for me to have 15 resources on hand at some point in the game which open up options. If they attack Thrawn first then you go as aggro as you can. It is still a work in progress.
