HBOMB 48

Wow Rey into Vibro into Loth-Wolf is crazy!

Toeko 72

Updated with a write up. @HBOMB it really is, later in the game 10-14 damage that can't be mitigated is a dangerous thing.

ordinaryjedi.ddu.network 834

@Toeko where did your write up appear? I think i want to fit force wave in here somehow

Toeko 72

@ordinaryjedi it's just up above. I'm not cool enough to get it anywhere else lol. I'm working on updating it with the cards I've tried and why I've cut them. Force Wave could be a really good idea, I'm not sure what I'd cut or how I'd move it around to fit. Another card I've been trying is Rebel which has been doing work

ordinaryjedi.ddu.network 834

Hmmm i dont think it saved because i cant see your store champs notes anywhere

oh im guessing it was just your matches

The deck plays like Obi/Maz mixed with 5-Die villain, with a dash of no mitigation Sabine damage.

As usual I'll breakdown everything, so at least you can hopefully understand my poor choices!

-Battlefield- Outside a few corner cases where you will be out played, such as the opponent claiming early etc, you will have the battlefield if you want it.

Obi-Wan's Hut - Tatooine is my battlefield of choice currently. The shield helps quite a bit.

Other battlefields I have used are Outer Rim Outpost - Nal Hutta Frozen Wastes - Starkiller Base Carbon-freezing Chamber - Bespin and Mos Eisley Spaceport - Tatooine. Of the lot Mos Eisley felt the worst, we don't need the money and it is usually to get a second upgrade down over playing the same one you had the turn before. Out Rim is fine as well, but the extra resource and card don't help that much. So Carbon and Frozen Waste would be the best contenders against Obi-Wan's hut.

-Characters- For characters we have Rey - Force Prodigy and Ezra Bridger - Aspiring Jedi. These two characters compliment each other extremely well. Exra gives conistant(ish) base sides to pair with Rey and really help bring it home. Anakin Skywalker - Podracing Prodigy is our third, the money helps so much, and its not really a loss when he is forced into a trash can, or acts as a bubble shield. Also, I've never seen him focused down which means unless I kill him through indirect trash cans and easy pickings are always online.

The other character I tried was Jar Jar Binks - Clumsy Outcast. . . And he hurt more than he helped.

-Upgrade- Should be pretty standard looking, with room to personalize. Vibroknife is the only mandatory card in the deck, and that is solely for it's interaction with Rey. Force Illusiondoesn't mesh well with me, it always mills the cards I need to win, so that is personal preference. Force Speed is too cute for this deck. We need the damage sides, and while its awesome, it slows us down in a weird way. Ezra Bridger's Lightsaber isn't included because I'm not a fan of it, unless it is on Ezra. And we'd rather play the upgrades on Rey, and/or overwrite the better redeploys if Rey is going to die.

-Events- Lost of Dice fixing and removal. Nothing fancy, but I will say Loth-Wolf Bond off a vibroknife will win games.

-Supports- Maz's Vault is a card I am still on the fence with. It is nice when I get it early, but if I never see it in a game it doesn't really hurt me at all.

For the Store Champ

Round 1 was against eQuinlan/Bazine/Dark Advisor. I won this game but it was very close. His deck was an OTK in theme, and round 2 he had drawn most of his deck and did 25 damage. It was a beautiful thing and I really dig his deck. I won thanks to Vibroknife, Hyperspace Jump followed into a Vibroknife allowed me two turns of of damage he couldn't stop and I was able to seal the deal.

Round 2 was against Tarkin/Snoke. He managed to do 12 indirect damage to me in the first two turns, but I was able to blow through Tarkin and two force illusions(13 cards). He went a force power route, and got screwed by the powers. Only having Force Jump out. Turn 3 I didn't really hit damage but I mitigated all of his. Either way I controlled the late game and ended up winning on mill before I could kill Snoke. One of the downsides of the deck is sometimes you don't hit damage.

Round 3 was against Launch Bay OTK. Luckily that deck is probably my favorite thing so I knew it really well. Fun fact all your characters have discard sides and they are really good against this deck. Between hitting his hand for 5 over a few turns and controlling his dice I was able to avoid death and win on a mill victory. If you aren't aware of how Launch Bay OTK works, and what it needs to win then you need to learn. It is similar to Hondo, where it preys upon people who don't know how to play against it. It is still solid if they do, but it becomes a lot harder.

Round 4 was against eYoda/Cassian/Anakin - Boy howdy. I lost this one handily. Yes dice didn't want to cooperate but it is really my own fault. I'm a fan of mill so I neglected to test against the new versions, and they hit so much faster than I expected. I'll need to playtest against mill to figure out what I need to do against it to win, without relying on god rolls

My bad all, forgot the notes where on the unpublished version. I'm refining and adding better details and once that is done I'll post it up. I'll have cards I tested and reasons why I dropped them.
