Dice of Failure 822

This deck tested very well! I only needed to make a few changes.

The core of the deck is solid. Get out the Firespray-31 round one, tutor for the mods you want, and kick ass. Being able to reset a fat firespray with R2 Astromech feels really good. And in all four games in which I tested this deck, i was able to get a TLT and an R2 Astromech on my firespray round 1. mulligans+Rebel Engineer make this so consistent.

I only got the chance to test against mill, so this isn't the most representative (my damage mitigation cards were essentially for nothing), but I still did identify a few necessary changes.

For one, I was actually testing without Barrel Roll, which was a HUGE mistake. This deck doesn't have the focus of something like a Fat Caster deck, so I can't rely on getting the sides I need in one roll off.

In that same vein, I can never find a spot to play the Targeting Astromech. Taking up a die spot of my Fat Firespray is simply prohibitive, especially when one upgrade spot will already be taken by an R2 astromech.

Also, playing against Mill made me realize that I need a more reliable way to get rid of non-damage dice, so Pinned Down was a natural addition.

And i caved and put in Truce instead of Resourceful.

All in all, dropped He Doesn't Like You, Targeting Astromech, Resourceful, and added in Into The Garbage Chute, Pinned Down and Truce, while reaffirming the need for Barrel Roll.

I understand the Jawa for the Theed bonus action, but the Gungan Warrior die is just so much better. On top of that, a second red character you can spot for Aerial Advantage seems huge.

The only other thing that really seems missing in the list to me is C-3PO. You can always just use him to get leia's special or you can do what the old vehicles lists did and fire a decent die side (2 indirect on engineer or gungan) as focus to get max damage out of your other dice.

I really don't get the include of Across The Galaxy. Wouldn't some more removal or a 3po just be better? Do you think you'll be fast enough to claim ever (and with that can you actually take advantage of Aerial Advantage)? Are other deck's battlefields enough of a problem that you would rather give them a resource every round?

@wynalazca all good points. I will probably never win the roll off and have only claimed once or twice, but right now Across the Galaxy is in because there is space for it, and I have used it in game to mixed results.

To that end, yeah Aerial Advantage has only paid off a few times, but boy did it pay off.

I think these issues will come to light more as I test the deck, so I'll definitely keep an eye out.

Not sold on threeps. Essentially any non blank side on my dice are ones I'll want to resolve, with the exception of the 1 disrupt on the Jawa. More focus would be nice, but I think discards and Barrel Roll will do the trick there, rather than dedicated a whole card slot.

On more removal, I don't like having more than 8 removal cards in a deck like this. It's a lot more offensive than defensive, so I don't want to get distracted. I'll probably test out either Drop In or Partnership to help make the deck a little faster. We'll see.

Thanks for your feedback!
