I absolutely love Padmé Amidala - Resolute Senator, and I think this deck actually has the potential to be extremely competitive despite 21 health.

This deck is about simple math.

Almost all decks in standard don't go over 30 total health. So, if we can deal >10 indirect damage every round, we can usually close things out by the 3rd round. That's what this deck aims to do, using all the 3 and 3 die sides we can to chip away at our opponents while we shield ourselves enough to stay alive.

Use Armored Reinforcement to get Padmé Amidala's Royal Starship. After that, you almost always roll in Saw as your first action. Doesn't really matter what Saw rolls, because for your next action you'll use Attack Run or Instigate to roll in the Starship which rolls in Padme, then all we need is one good die and an Impulsive or Sieze the Day to send 9 damage their way. Easy!

At all times you want at least 2 action cheating cards in your hand in order to combo without passing back to your opponent.

BB-8, Arc Caster, and Dorsal Turret Fix us up with extra damage and can close the game out even if Padmé goes down while they've still got a character left. After you use basically just 2 turns to deal all your damage, you can use healing cards or some brutal mitigation like Snuff Out before claiming. You ALWAYS want to claim. The battlefield ensures Snuff Out and Sieze the Day are online and its trigger allows us to search more quickly for the cards we need and stay on top of resources.

It seems impossible that a 3-dice 21-health deck could ever be top-tier, but in my tests this deck can be completely unbeatable when it draws right and still more than formidable when it doesn't. Please feel free to give feedback, and keep the dream alive!

Nice deck!! I would switch On the mark for Target adquired, maybe that 1 recourse cost could hard to pay, but it needs a test.

I prefer Maz Kanata - Canny Negotiator over Saw imo as you only lose 1 on his die while getting a whole extra die with her. Her -side is also quite useful to chain into. Also miss the Handheld L-S1 Cannon :) Girls with guns ftw!

I also gave much though to Saw/Padme/AR and no matter how i looked Padme was to cut to non elite not Saw. If you go eSaw you actually put your opponent in a weird spot - kill 1 die Padme and lets Saw roam normal indirects or kill 2 dice Saw and leave Padme with all her focus sheanigans. @alfonsopl on the mark is must have y/r 3 dice is really short on cash.

I think the questions this deck (and every deck that stands to become popular), needs to answer are (a) what techs against it, and (b) is that tech niche or is it good against the field?

Vandalize almost immediately deletes the deck by not only getting rid of Padme's ship and any mods it has, but it also weakens the rest of the dice by hurting the synergy, and it takes Attack Run off the table (unless you use BB8 for it). Similarly, Starvipers and N1s are trouble, and both are popular. I also think you may see some Force Lifts since Palpatine has few good damage dealing abilities now.

Suppressive Fire is obviously trouble, and quite popular. Improvised Defense will hurt you a lot, and while it's not super popular it could get that way with Padme, Kes, Yoda, Talzin, and Palpatine out there.

Finally, Aphra decks will be rolling Bubble Shields for their own defense, which will give them another 3-6 HP. You can expect more defense from Riot Shields as well, and there's some big healing possibilities with things like First Aid and Resistance Ring.

@DTokz don't forget Mind Extraction. I'm running it in all my blue villain decks (rainbox Aphra, Phasma/Sentinel, Palp/Watto and Snoke/Wat/Watto). It sets Padmé decks back a full turn, it can literally (and I mean literally) kill Palpatine - Unlimited Power and eliminates Phasma's backup troopers. I think it's going to see a lot of play.

Really appreciate all the thoughtful feedback, y'all. @DTokz you bring up some really good points. I almost certainly need to run 2x Scruffy Looking Nerf-Herder for the sake of Vandalize. N-1s and Starvipers I haven't seen much at least in the groups I play in, so for now I'm not worrying much. I've teched against mill, Phasma, and Palp, but droids do pose a bit of a threat with both high health and bubble shields.

Unfortunately I don't own any Handheld L-S1 Cannons yet. As for the ideas for character switches, I can't imagine not running elite Padme. The deck relies too much on her big focus sides. Playing elite Maz Kanata - Canny Negotiator though could be an interesting idea... I'll have to give that a shot! Opponents would be practically forced to choose the 1 indirect every turn so that I wouldn't use it and so I could get through my deck faster and rely on having more turning options. I'll try it out! If only she were a leader...

I would like to also run Dismantle to take care of suppressive fire and pesky supports like N-1, but I worry about taking out too many of my aggro cards since I also need to play Scruffy.

Just straight up, if you are running Saw Gerrera - Extremist Leader and Padmé Amidala - Resolute Senator you should have some of the big vehicles or events in hand. Whilst Saw Gerrera - Extremist Leader can get some work done with his 3 indirect side. His special is bonkers.

We have a 5 cost removal card Domination and you can put 2x N-1 Starfighter or Starviper maybe even a couple of Millennium Falcon in your deck for more indirect and counter removal. Either toss it from hand for 4 indirect from a Saw Gerrera - Extremist Leader special or put it down when you have a tonne of cash after dropping the ship turn 1 (resolve that $2 my friend)

It gives you some outs and it allows you to take the heat off of Padmé Amidala - Resolute Senator who will die turn 2 or top of turn 3.

Alternative, drop AR and run both elite? But I'm with @vitalis09, Saw Gerrera - Extremist Leader elite, Padmé Amidala - Resolute Senator 1 dice and Armored Reinforcement would be best. Keeps the combo and splits target priority. Rather than, everyone JUST killing Padmé Amidala - Resolute Senator and winning because you have 1 damage dice left.

Gonna test elite saw, but if I were gonna try and play the “discard my own big cards with saw” game plan I’d need to fully commit to that instead and I’m not really convinced on it. If I could choose the card, sure. But it doesn’t seem reliable to me. With the way this deck works I’m trying to resolve all my dice at once anyway.

Currently testing with Maz elite and I’m actually coming around on it.

Bubble Shield might be a thing in the current meta too if you go with Maz. I believe various wide decks using Aphra/Wat/Watto/Droids and/or Grievous will be popular in the meta and they all wield .

DTokz 147

The Aphra/Wat combo will just in general be dangerous for this deck. It's running its own Bubble Shield for defense, and it can put out a lot of unstoppable damage through BT-1, 000, and Assassin Droids.

Remember the big vehicle route doesn’t have to have so many if you play more zero cost events. Simple stuff to thin your hand like sound the alarm etc. slows your opponent and get you to the big vehicles for Saws special. I like the idea of e/saw instead of epadme and I am surprised I didn’t think of that. I would put in two two of her starships in case on gets vandalized. Since vechiles are THE thing right now people will be teaching for them, they now have to. Again, you are close, but still no cigar. Keep up the good work. Remember, when you go eSaw some of your removal like easy and entangle will get shut out as they focus on him first for two reasons now: more dice and turn off the likely removal. Since too many cards can get rid of saw’s only special, you do need two dice and hence eSAW. So pair back the entangles or easy pickings to just 2/4 and more zero cost stuff with the big ships or events. I think just 8 big cards can work if your removal if you fine tune your cost curve. Figure on playing two zeros per turn, one 1 resource, 1 pitch to reroll, and 1 biggy. Change the battlefield since you have to burn trough cards to get down to the biggies. Get out some low cost supports like bubble shield paired with crash landing might help. Got to get a hand cannon in there—he’s I know you don’t own one yet. Keep on the mark.

Good luck.

Lots of great points, @General Vatutin I appreciate your comments. Working on a few versions of this now.
