Mother 5 2nd Place Swedish Regionals 1.0

This is my take on Mother 5 i did win an artficery tornomant wiht it a couple weeks back with a few cards changed from this list. So i went decently confident in to my Regionals. Nicking Nightbring3R on Discord if anyone wants to ask questions there :)

First of all this was a 25 People Regionals not the biggest but we had 6 round swiss and top 8.

Game1 Bye I had a Bye from Store Champ season before so managed to go 1-0 at start :P

Game 2 Win* I faced up against Palpatine This isnt the easist matchup sence Bala_tik wont get to reactivate untill u win the game. And Palpatines Possible No Mercys will kill ur guys. My opponent tho rolled a lot of money and had the money to rise agaain both Round 2 and 3 but didnt draw the card. I used Friends in low to scout the hand for removal and managed to kill palpatine before to much damage was done. Little lucky ofc that he didnt draw into that Rise again. So 2-0

Game 3 Faced up vs a guy from my home town running the Captain Phasma - Ruthless Tactician/Mother Talzin - Nightsister Matriarch/Greedo - Unlucky Mercenary list. Game started great Bala-tik loves the char list so i was pretty confident. I kill phasma just before my Motehr was gonna go down. But In some way i cant recall i whished it was taped Mother and Greedo killed all my 3 guys and won the game. 2-1

Game 4 Im going up VS Phasma/Boba This is a scary matchup becouse its not unrealstic that he kills a guy round 1 or early round 2. But luckly he didnt draw any weapons untill round 3, and a Tactical mastery that led to 2 damge later on the game from him wasnt enough. In the end pretty easy win used the The Price of Failure To close it out when he had claimed. so im 3-1 and at 4-2 im prolly thru.

Game 5 Im up vs my Friend and Local player that i test a lot with. Kylo Ren - Tormented One with Anakin Skywalker - Conflicted Apprentice in our testing this was a 50/50 matchup, and after 2 force illusions + 2 Rise again he managed to clinch this game out. im 3-2 and getting a bit nervous. The standing indicated that some 4-2 might not make it, and the opponents i had beaten before was not doing so great.

Game 6 I was already set on missing the top cut of the reason i said before. But finally i got the deck i wanted to battle Hero Viechels. I personally think Hero Viechels are the strongest deck in meta. I personally suck at the deck and find it bring to play. So i built this deck becouse nothing counters viehels as tons of bala reactivations. I killed Rose - Skilled Mechanic early round 2,in round 3 Jar Jar Binks - Clumsy Outcast and Aayla Secura - Jedi General followed. im 4-2 and luckly i make it in as number 7th.

Top 8 incoming and i got to face the number two seed also form my hometown. He was playing Kylo Ren - Tormented One with Mother Talzin - Nightsister Matriarch This is a pretty good macthup for me. My deck does not have a super high hit rate on my own mother ability but that deck has. Also i can play my deck slower wich means i can always roll out and negate wahat he did on his mother. Also very hard for him to guess right cards on hand. This was a 2-0 in a quite easy way. Some good rolls from me aswell i shall not lie about that but it was a good matchup.

Top 4. Another player from my Hometown who was running the same list as his friend that i played in swiss. so back to Phasma/Mother/Greedo again.

I lost game 1 even tho i traded Phasma for MOther. Managed to close out game 2 or 3 with help with some nasty bait and switch plays turning 4 damage to 8 in an instant was game breaking in this close series. 2-1 for me moving on to the finals.

Finals And im glad to notice that its my Local friend that already beat me in swiss that made it to final after 2-0 both top 8 and top 4. Its not much to say about this game really gut Game 1 i got completly smashed to pices game 2 i returned the favour. and in Game there after dealing 7 early damage to Kylo. I wnt on the lind mine of 4 blanks into a feel ur anger that bought him the time to turn the game around. Overall He was the deserved winner.

Bait and Switch was defently My MVP Card together with Tactical Mastery during the day. I woudld efently consider putting back another withc magic and another macup muscle. Prolly would remove the PRice of faliure and Frighten for it sense i barley used any of the during the day.
