Silly casual deck in which I mostly just really want to use Darksaber. I'm considering slotting in Three Steps Ahead, but am not sure the action cheating really helps all that much, despite having mixed damage.

One of my two current two options for a local "jank" tournament where character combos that have won a local SC or have made top 16 in national tournaments aren't allowed.

(Update)

Went 3.5-0.5 (haha) at a the local jank tourney with a 21-person turnout.

Made the following changes the night before:

We did four rounds of janky Swiss:

Round 1: General Grievous - Fearsome Cyborg / Gamorrean Guard (W)

He drew into weapons too late, and I did not. He didn't target the Battle Droid first, so I killed it for him to boost my Calling in Favors. Way of the Dark rolled in a General Grievous - Fearsome Cyborg 3 at one point, but it wasn't enough to save the game. Darksaber did most of the work this time.

Round 2: Bala-Tik - Gang Leader / Battle Droid / Executioner x 2 (W)

Relby-V10 Mortar Gun was easily MVP here and saved the day. My Battle Droid died quickly which gave him a bunch of triggers, but Aftermath and Attrition didn't make it onto the board fast enough before IG-88 - Assassin Droid cleaned up with some big mortar action plays.

Round 3: Bala-Tik - Gang Leader / Mandalorian Super Commando / Gamorrean Guard (W)

This one was closer than the other two. Gamorrean Guard was taking a lot of value away from my Darksaber, and Hunker Down was giving him tons of health while Backup Muscle was chipping away at my health under my and Armor Plating. A clutch Vandalize took out my Darksaber, but I was able to replace it immediately with a Vibrocutlass. Quick Draw + Hidden Blaster killed one character past mitigation, then Three Steps Ahead took down another the next round. Gamorrean Guard nearly took down IG-88 - Assassin Droid, but Deadly didn't make it onto the board in time.

Round 4: Jabba the Hutt - Renowned Gangster / Mother Talzin - Nightsister Matriarch (??)

This was an interesting one to play against. His deck was slamming down 2-3 upgrades a round and was rolling in tons of cheap/free dice for either massive Jabba the Hutt - Renowned Gangster resolutions or big swings from Free-For-All. Darksaber's saved the day against Backup Muscle, but it eventually came down to one action from either player to decide the game.

The last round resulted in a roll-off because my opponent conceded, since I was showing lethal and he had no mitigation, but I contested it because I saw that lethal was possible on his dice if he resolved them a certain way. (Underhanded Tactics into a 2, then continue resolving dice for Jabba damage and another ping from Bardottan Sphere, since his top card was odd.) Since it was a casual tournament we deferred to the judge and we let it be a 50/50 coin flip, which I lost. ;)

Fun deck, fun tourney! Excited to run it again.
